Contemporary Dance Music vol. 5 - Michael Price and Matt Robertson
This is a CD with variety. It has a piano base, which creates an atmosphere with depth and warmth. It is pleasant to listen to and would be a useful musical resource, in my opinion. It also has a cultural element with a track featuring drumming and one with a Spanish guitar. The range of rhythms is good, which adds to the attraction. You are lulled into a gentle ambience to be then jolted awake, twitching your feet.
The CD is arranged in three sections. The first track is classed as the warm up; 10 tracks follow this and finally track 11 is the cool down. This shows that thought has gone into its use with a class.
It is a resource that I would buy and use with the full range of age groups. It is contemporary without being off the wall or wacky!
